    2. Your reply was marked as spam. We do not accept 'Dialectical — materialism —' openings here.

      This isn't a French blog.

    3. If this were any reasonable, civilised place, you would continue to be marked as spam until you prefaced your post with a fervent 'Roman salute.' Just goes to show how the tides of barbarianism have lowered standards across the Blogosphere.

    4. Heil ----- Hitler ----- Barbarianism can be a useful corrective and stimulus to a civilisation which has become empty and decadent.

    5. Which this is not, with posts starting as well as yours. Indeed, and what is more important than an exciting opening? Nothing, you'll agree, except for a 'hook' to keep readers interested. Hence, for instance, your post could read, "Heil — Hitler — _)"

By that point it would be so catchy and entertaining that it would be essentially a pop song.

To be contemporary poetry, it would need to be confessional. Hence, for instance, if Jesus posted, "Heil — Hitler — It was me, I destroyed Rome. _)" you would have pure contemporary poetry. Line breaks could be dispensed with as a needless antique of the past.

Of course, as with all pop music comes the dilution of the impressive em-dash, or 'dash eclecticism,' as well as of other kinds. Nonetheless, this must not stop us or our blogs in the relentless search for pop sensibility.

As to the rest, I can do no more than imitate what is alleged of Nero, that he fiddled while Rome burned. In this way also, we have posted this catchy and exciting yet scarce post while the Blogosphere tore itself apart.

And, after all, the most exciting consummation of love is tearing people and gatherings apart. There was a song about it.

It is clearly French. In fact, it has now come to my attention that posters such as you might not be familiar with the French language. Since you asked, I can inform you that I will soon put up a useful post giving basic information about the French language. You're welcome, Yates!
